Our Heritage

The art of Bagru printing was born in the village of Bagru, Rajasthan, and has been carefully preserved by the Chhipa community for generations. This craft is known for its natural dyes, hand-carved wooden blocks, and intricate printing methods that give each fabric its own character and depth. For more than 300 years, Bagru printing has represented not only a style but also a story of patience, skill, and tradition.

Bagru printing का जन्म Bagru गाँव के आसपास हुआ — यह एक सदियों पुरानी कला है जिसे Chhipa समुदाय ने पीढ़ियों तक संजो कर रखा है। इस तकनीक में लकड़ी के हाथ से तराशी हुई ब्लॉक्स और प्राकृतिक रंगों का प्रयोग होता है, इसलिए हर प्रिन्ट में एक अलग-सा जीवन और गहराई दिखती है। Bagru की परंपरा 300+ साल पुरानी मानी जाती है और इसे आज भी स्थानीय कारीगर ध्यान, धीरज और प्राकृतिक सामग्रियों के साथ बनाते हैं।

हमारे कारीगर हाथ से ब्लॉक्स उकेरते हैं, प्राकृतिक द्रव्यों और परंपरागत mordants का उपयोग कर कपड़े पर प्रिंट करते हैं — यह प्रक्रिया रंगों की स्थायित्व और सूक्ष्मता देती है। Bagru प्रिंट के रंग और शेड्स अक्सर स्थानीय पानी और प्राकृतिक dyes पर निर्भर करते हैं, जो इसे अन्य ब्लॉक-प्रिंट शैलियों से अलग बनाते हैं।
